2023 Housing Production Plan

A Housing Production Plan is a community's proactive strategy for planning and developing affordable housing by creating a strategy to meet its affordable housing needs. The Town of Wellfleet's Affordable Housing group including the Affordable Housing Trust, the Local Housing Partnership, and the Housing Authority, has worked collaboratively with JM Goldson to collect data, understand local housing conditions, and develop strategies that will meet the needs of our year-round community today and in the future.   
 

The 2023 Housing Production Plan highlights Wellfleet's demographics, median income, and home prices both for sale and rent and identifies both short and long-term housing needs. The strategic five-year plan for the production of affordable and mixed-income housing was a culmination of interviews and focus groups that also included the Town Assistant Administrator, the Director of Community Services, and key stakeholders involved in the production, preservation, planning, and zoning aspects of housing development in the Town of Wellfleet.  

Wellfleet's 2023 Housing Production Plan was presented and approved by the Select Board and the Planning Board on March 21, 2023.
